Reminder: We are proudly supporting the Clean Air Project in collaboration with Orchard Infants and Noadswood School as part of Walk to School Week.From Monday 19th May to Friday 23rd May, we are encouraging as many students as possible across all three schools to walk to school or use a park and stride approach.
Air quality has previously been monitored around each school site and will be measured again during this week. The results will be shared with you once available.Thank you for supporting cleaner air and healthier journeys for our children.

We have decided all of our Year 6's are Stars this week!! They have been amazing throughout SAT's week and have finished off the week with an Inter Class Cricket Tournament. Well done to all of Year 6!

Year 5 Osmington Trip
Year 5 had a wonderful evening around the campfire last night!
Year 3 Roman Visitor
Today, Year 3 had a visit from a local archaeologist - Andy Lane, who is a Grandparent of two Year 3 children.
He came in to talk to us about the Romans and shared with us how we know about the Romans. He also brought in many artefacts that he had dug up so that the children could handle artefacts that were over 2000 years old. They loved it!
Year 5 Osmington Trip
They have arrived at Osmington and are already having lots of fun!
Year 4
The children in Year 4 have been showing off their knowledge about mountains. The children worked well in groups to present their work.
Year 4
We have enjoyed making and eating bread in Year 4 this week. We experimented with different fillings and toppings and created our own bread shapes.

Year 3 Roman Day
On Tuesday, Year 3 had the best day!
We were fortunate enough to be invited over to Noadswood today, who taught us about mosaics, Roman Numerals and had a Roman reenactor. A lot of fun was had!

Spring Music Concert 18th March 2025
We had our spring music concert on Tuesday! Well done to everyone who took part!
World Book Day
We have been blown away with the effort gone into our world book day costumes! Well done everyone!
Year 5 - Build A Book Day
Some of year 5 yesterday were invited to Noadswood School for a build a book day. They had a wonderful time and enjoyed writing their own stories.
Some standouts for the day were, Katie with above and beyond contribution and Marnie with great contribution and engagement.

Year 4 Viking Day
Year 4 have been fierce Viking warriors today. We have had lots of fun playing Viking games, looking at artefacts, writing in runes and making Viking longships for our artwork.

Year 3
Year 3 have spent the last 2 days making and tasting their soup linked to Charlie and the chocolate factory unit of work.
They learnt how to peel, grate and chop a range of vegetables yesterday and then today, they added their class chosen: protein, carbohydrates and extra vegetables.
3JD chose Orzo for the carbohydrates and lentils for the protein then sweetcorn and red pepper for their extra vegetables.
Lots of happy children who had tried something new and healthy today!

Year 3
Year 3 were doing some enquiry work today linked to their science on skeletons. They used Year 6 to help answer their science question: "Do our bones grow over time?" As you can see, they all worked so well together measuring and recording so that they could compare their different types of bone lengths.
Year 5
Year 5 have had a fantastic afternoon bringing their Dragon Eye designs to life in clay. We are looking forward to painting them later this week.
3JD
3JD have been looking at the skills of PowerPoint Presentations! Today, they have learnt the skill of animations and linked both their graphics and wording to an Animation - entrance, emphasis and/or exit method.
We are super proud of what has been produced so far!

PTFA Update
Thank you so much to the hard work fundraising by our PTFA, We have now taken delivery of our new minibus! Our first outing will be a cross country race next week.

The Road Safety Team are responsible for educating young people and their families on the importance of keeping safe when travelling in a vehicle. Part of this education includes ensuring young people are travelling with correct restraints. Are you aware that 37% of children are in the wrong type of seat for their age and/or height? The Road Safety Team would like to share this car restraint leaflet with you to ensure you know how to always keep your child(ren) safe – in the correct restraint. The Holiday Club, designed for children from current Year R to current Year 5, will run from August 27th to the 29th from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Last year, the children loved throwing cream pies at their leaders. We will have many messy challenges like this, as well as creative crafts, sports, and Bible stories!
