Pupil Admissions
We are delighted that you are considering sending your child to Orchard and we are very confident of providing the best possible education for your children. As a Junior School we take children between Years 3 and 6.
Admissions can be a very confusing and stressful time for parents. We are always prepared to discuss through individual cases with parents to ensure you make the right decisions. Hampshire are our admission authority and can be reached here. This link also explains the admissions code.
There are two different types of admission to our school - Year 3 Admissions and Casual Admissions:

Year 3 Admissions for the forthcoming September:
In-Year Admissions (anytime other than the main point of intake in September of Year 3):
Due to changes in your circumstances, you may need to change the school your child attends. Please call the School to see if we actually have any spaces available and, if places are available, arrange to visit the school. Please contact Mrs Julie Croton, our School's Admissions Officer, on the School's number to discuss your individual situation.

In the event that there are more applications than places available, our over-subscription rules come into force. A waiting list is held for many of the year groups and the family highest of the admission criteria at the time the place becomes available is offered the place first. It is not based on how long you have been on the waiting list.
