Geography is the study of real places at different scales and of how the people living there are influenced by, and affect, the environment of those places. Geography explores the relationship between earth and its people. Geography at Orchard will covered in topic work.
Themes that will be investigated include, rivers, earthquakes and volcanoes, settlements and environmental change. Children will be taught to work with maps, plans, globes, ICT and other resources to develop their geographical knowledge. Children will take part in field trips to strengthen their understanding.
